Recipes are general cooking help
Miss Bonnie's recipes, videos and cards are for general home cooking only. They are not medical, nutrition or diet advice, and they are not made for any health condition. If your doctor, dietitian or care team has given you a special diet (for example low-salt, low-sugar, soft foods, or a blood-thinner diet), follow their advice first and ask them before you change what you eat.
Allergies and ingredients
Always read the labels on the food you buy. Products change, and the same food can contain different ingredients from brand to brand. If you have a food allergy, check every ingredient yourself.
Cook it safe
- Ovens, microwaves and slow cookers differ, so cooking times are a guide. Make sure food is cooked through.
- Safe inside temperatures (U.S. Department of Agriculture): chicken and turkey 165°F (74°C), ground beef and pork 160°F (71°C), leftovers reheated to 165°F (74°C). A cheap food thermometer is the easiest way to be sure.
- Put leftovers in the fridge within 2 hours, eat them within 3 to 4 days, or freeze them.
- Use oven mitts, keep pan handles turned in, and take your time. Sit down to do the prep whenever you like.
You cook at your own risk. We are not responsible for injury, illness, or damage that comes from preparing or eating any recipe.
